The tabletop gaming industry lacks a standardized framework for valuing intellectual property, often leaving creators and IP holders to guess at deal terms. I developed the IP Licensing Wizard to democratize institutional-grade financial modeling. This tool bridges the gap between creative IP and commercial viability, offering a TurboTax-style interface that turns abstract concepts into bankable business plans in minutes.
Objective
The objective was to eliminate the black box of licensing negotiations by building a deterministic financial model accessible to non-experts. I engineered an algorithm that synthesizes real-time fanbase data, comparable market benchmarks, and manufacturing costs to generate defensible revenue projections. The goal was to empower creators with the same level of financial intelligence used by major studios, allowing them to pitch favorable royalty rates and minimum guarantees with mathematical confidence.

Challenge
The primary challenge lay in aggregating fragmented industry data into a cohesive predictive engine. I had to architect a system capable of analyzing diverse variables, from Kickstarter conversion rates to retail distribution margins, and distilling them into a simple Go/No-Go viability score. This required building a proprietary database of deal terms and standardizing the logic for comparable titles to ensure accuracy. I designed the user experience to be frictionless, masking the complex calculus behind a clean, intuitive dashboard that auto-generates professional accurate business plans, deal terms, and MOUs to negotiate from a position of strength while still affording the user the ability to fine tune the assumptions and see updates applied to their output in real time.

Result
Since its deployment, the platform has processed and validated over $24M in Qualified Pipeline Value (QPV). This metric represents the total projected revenue of all licensing deals structured through the engine, confirming its efficacy as a deal origination tool. By providing users with accurate, algorithmically generated deal terms, the tool has significantly reduced the Time-to-Term-Sheet for my team and standardized the valuation process for a notoriously opaque market.
